I came up with this part woven, part knitted technique on my own, but since I may not be the first, I’m saying it’s an unvented technique.

The amount of yarn used and gauge are quite variable, so I can give you my amounts and sizes, but you can choose your own cowl size and yarns. This pattern is perfect for low yardage art yarn.

You will need a needle whose diameter is larger than the fat yarn.

Long Cowl: 46 inches circumference:
45yds Super Bulky yarn (Fat yarn)
224 yds Shibui Silk Cloud

Short Cowl: 29 inches circumference:
26 yds Super Bulky Yarn
132 yds Lace weight Mohair
