DIFFICULTY LEVEL
Advanced Beginner

A lovely scarf composed of five (quintet) lace patterns. Perfect for when a beginner is ready to learn additional types of stitches. Relatively easy pattern with enough details to keep you from getting bored.

DK yarn is suggested and is shown. Yarns of other weights such as worsted can be used. Adjust needle size accordingly. Suggest staying away from fuzzy or tweedy yarn, else the lace pattern may be difficult to see. Both solid and variegated yarn work well. However, the lace patterns will be easier to see if you stick to a solid color.

Please take time to read through the entire pattern before beginning your project. I find this most helpful. YouTube videos have been provided for the various types of stitches.
If you are unsure about doing some of the stitches, a little tip:
Grab some extra yarn and needles and start practicing them a bit, before you start this pattern. It will boost your confidence so that when you encounter that stitch in this pattern, it won’t be your very first time knitting that stitch!

Special note goes to one of the lace patterns included. Nancy Hay was kind enough to provide permission to include her lace pattern “It’s Never a Straight Line”. A fun pattern on its own!
