Named after my youngest granddaughter, Quinnley. She has the sweetest smile and disposition and golden blond hair.

This top down poncho or tunic is knit flat. The back shoulders are knit first starting with a provisional cast on. The shoulders are then joined and the lace detail begins. Once the back is completed, the front shoulders are picked up from the provisional cast on, the shoulders are shaped and then joined. The front lace is identical to the back. Buttonholes may be added.

This versatile piece may be worn as a tunic, over a light tee or cami, or worn as a poncho. If knit in a cotton yarn and lengthened, it could be used as a beach cover.

The sizes are (approximately) 21”(24”, 27”, 30”., 32”, 35” wide, measured flat at the shoulders. As written the length is approximately 24”(24”, 26”, 27” 27” 27”)/ 61,(61, 66, 69, 71, 71) cm .

Two 100 gram skeins of fingering weight yarn will make the first 3 sizes. A third skein will be needed for the 3 larger sizes. Please note I am not a tight knitter, if you are, please consider going up a needle size or making a larger size and/or adding more repeats.
