Quonk refers to a background noise that disturbs a television or radio program…I felt this pretty yarn disturbed the first few patterns I tried with it, then I decided on this rather easy cable repeat to complement the yarn while being more interesting to knit than a plain stockinette or ribbed hat. The Tubular Cast-on provides a stretchy, comfortable edge to the beanie without a visible cast-on edge. As a bonus, the cabled ribbing provides for an accommodating fit, great for gifts!
