Rabalam Jacket
This is a made to measure design and therefore difficult to give exact yarn requirements.
Worked in double knitting an 80cm chest used approx 750g, 110cm used approx 1100g & 140cm used approx 1200g
The blue, jade and pink version used Stylecraft Malabar - now sadly discontinued. Any double knitting yarn would be suitable but as this is a made to measure you could use any thickness of yarn to give either a lightweight or bulky jacket. You could even use all your scraps and make a multicolour version!
One of the great things about this design is that you can use as many colours as you like secure in the knowledge that you will have no ends to weave in! (well not many) Yeah! There is a double border on most of the edges so just tie them off securely and enclose them in the border…simples!
This jacket is worked sideways from the left front around to the right front and is made to measure so you can be sure of a perfect fit.
As you can see it can be styled in a variety of ways and would make a lovely addition to your Spring wardrobe.
