Rabbit Mountain Shawl
The Rabbit Mountain Shawl was created to celebrate Longmont Yarn Shoppe’s 7th anniversary.
The shawl got its name from Rabbit Mountain, which is located near Longmont, Colorado. The open space near Rabbit Mountain contains several dog-friendly hiking trails so you and your hound can enjoy some of the great outdoors while you work on this lovely hound’s-tooth shawl.
SKILLS NEEDED: Chain Stitch, Single Crochet, Half Double Crochet, Double Crochet
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 38 x 42 x 56 inches
- This pattern uses simple techniques and stitches but in a unique and complex manner to create a beautiful finished piece with minimal finishing work.
- This a-symmetrical triangle shawl is crocheted flat with two colors and has tassels on each corner.
- The entire patterns is worked through both loops.
- The hound’s-tooth pattern is created through different stitches and changing colors every row.
- The non-working yarn will be worked over by the working yarn each row.
- You will be starting with the largest number of stitches decreasing every row.
- The Decrease Side uses a special decrease that works in the hound’s-tooth pattern.
