RABBIT WRAP is a nice and comfortable bunting suit for newborn babies.

TECHNIQUE
The bunting suit is made in interlocking crochet, a technique that consists of two crochet parts in different colors which are interlinked and thereby they form relief pictures.

TWO VERSIONS
The bunting suit can be made in two versions: with open or with closed windows (see pictures)

DIMENSIONS
The bunting suit measures approximately:

  • Height without hood: 85 cm
  • Hood, height: 26 cm
  • Width, body: 33 cm
  • Width from arm to arm: 69 cm
  • Arm, length: 18 cm
  • Arm, height: 15 cm.

Dimensions depend on the yarn and crochet hook you use. The measurements above is achieved with the following yarn and crochet hook:

YARN
I have used Økologisk Hverdagsuld, a danish brand from CaMarose. It is a yarn that is 100% Oeko-tex certified wool. If you want to use other brands, look for these informations on the yarn label:

  • 150 m per 50 g. (meterage)
  • 20-22 m /30 p (knitting gauge)
  • Hook 3-4

RECUIREMENTS
For the version with open windows, I have used:

  • RC: 200g / 600 m
  • BC: 250g / 750 m

For the version with closed windows, I have used:

  • RC: 250g / 750 m
  • BC: 250g / 750 m

For both versions:
* 3 buttons, approx. 2.5 cm width

CROCHET HOOK
I have used crochet hook 4.

SKILL LEVEL
You need some basic crochet skills to become familiar with the technique, but when you get it, it is actually just a whole lot of double crochets! Technique explanation comes with the pattern (see HELP AND SUPPORT).

LANGUAGE
The documents are in English and Danish.

TERMINILOGY
Both language versions use US terminology in stitches and abbreviations (see more below)

HELP AND SUPPORT
The pattern includes a detailed introduction to the technique (in English and Danish) with pictures and a lot of video tutorials. In the Danish version, there is a translation of stitches and abbreviations and a tutorial describing the technique in Danish. The pattern is doable for both right and left hand. Pictures and tutorials are only shown for right hand.
