Rachel Scarf
This was a scarf I made in 2019 for my daughter Rachel (hence the name of the scarf!). As we did not have our Ophelia Talks Crochet web shop at this time, I used yarn that I had available to me from my local yarn shop. So originally I used 2 balls of Cygnet Boho Spirit yarn which although it is technically an aran yarn, I feel it is quite a thin aran. I am not sure whether this is still available but we now have our own yarn shop and Stylecraft Knit Me Crochet Me yarn is a DK yarn (80% acrylic and 20% wool), I feel this is an appropriate substitute.
Similarly, the James C Brett Swurlywurly DK yarn would make a lovely substitute and is suitable for anyone who requires 100% acrylic yarn. You would only need 1 ball of this yarn as it comes in 200g and 550m per ball.
King Cole Curiosity would also make a lovely alternative, it is 100% acrylic and it comes in 150 g / 480 m balls and you would only need 1, and the colourways are gorgeous! I used Ocean.
With so many alternatives I thought it was time to finally make a written pattern for this project! Enjoy!
