Rachel's Garden
Rachel’s Garden is a half-pi (half circle shape) shawl that is worked top-down beginning with a garter tab. There are five increase rows within the shawl which double the number of stitches as the number of rows worked double. Section One, which includes the first three increase rows, is completed using garter stitch. Sections Two, Three and Four are completed using an 8-stitch lace pattern. The final section of the shawl is worked in a mosaic flower pattern. The shawl is then finished with a lace edge stitch and bound off using an Elastic Bind-off which produces a stretchy edge along the curved sections of the shawl.
