This simple shawl uses the knit one below stitch, along with fading colors, to create texture and movement. I prefer the right side, but the wrong side looks like dragon scales, and some people prefer it.

Feel free to use whatever yarns and colors you have handy for this! You can vary the striping to suit what you’ve got on hand, and just continue until you reach the size you want.
