This is a pattern for a rectangular Baby Blanket of 98 x 70 cm.
With 14 instead of 7 pattern repeats it can be worked as a Stole of 191 x 70 cm.

For the Baby Blanket you will need 1500 yds, for the Stole approximately 3000 yds of fine DK weight yarn.

The blanket is all over featuring Flame Ribbing Pattern inspired by Barbara Walker’s “Treausuries” - a combination of k1p1 rib and double decreases and increases.

This pattern is appropriate for knitters with basic knitting knowledge of knit and purl, decreases and increases.
The specific double increases and decreases used in this pattern are explained in the instructions.

The pattern is written in detail and also contains a chart for the Flame Ribbing Pattern.

Many thanks to the testers for their useful hints!
