This pattern provides instructions to make three different designs of rainbow baby beanies (1. White Beanie with Rainbow Hearts, 2. Rainbow Beanie with White Heart, and 3. Rainbow Beanie with Earflaps), in both ‘newborn’ size and ‘baby’ size (please note: sizes are only a guide; individual head size may vary).

They work up quickly, making a gorgeous gift for any baby, boy or girl, and extra special for a rainbow baby - if gifting to parents of a rainbow baby, you may want to consider enclosing a special message (see second photo for example).

The pattern calls for white, as well as seven different yarn colours, to create a rainbow effect (a shade of dusty pink, pale orange, pale yellow, mint green, turquoise, pale blue, and lilac).

The only additional material required is a darning needle, with which to weave in the ends.

(If you have quite a tight crochet tension, I would suggest using a hook that is .5 mm larger, in order to obtain a similar gauge.)
