This crochet pattern is designed using double strands of Paintbox Yarns Cotton Aran (or DK for a smaller child’s version). This makes it easy for you to use any shade you like for either a clutch with or without the rainbow stripes.
Equivalent weight cotton yarns will work just as well.

I have added a larger size recently requiring three strands of dk/8ply/light weight yarn held together (300 meters of each shade).

If you don’t add the rainbow stripes the pattern is beginner friendly. Adding the contrast colors will make it a little more fiddly but my video tutorials will help.

You’ll need 4 x 50g balls of your main color if following the rainbow pattern, or 6-8 balls without it. For the rainbow you’ll need 2 x 50g balls of each contrast color so 8 extra balls.

The pattern is written in US terms and includes helpful photo tutorials and video tutorials on my Instagram.

Suggested hook sizes are 6.5mm (or 5.5mm for child size) or 6mm for the larger clutch.
You can find a faux leather strap for your finished clutch on Ebay (size guidelines included) or crochet your own with the pattern for the smaller clutch.

Finished Clutch width:
Original clutch - 21cm
Child size - 18cm
Large - 28cm

All three sizes are a fun gift idea!
