This dress is worked seamlessly from the top down. The shoulder straps are worked first (two can be worked at once) then stitches are cast on between them to connect for the back bodice. Once the back bodice is complete the front bodice is worked flat to the waist, and then the back bodice stitches are transferred to the circular needle and joined in the round. Increases at the waist are used to create a slight ruffle effect in the skirt, which is then worked in stocking stitch in the round.
