Rainbow Mane Unicorn
This is a crochet PATTERN, not a finished item.
The Little Rainbow Unicorn is inspired by the story books created by the author Aurélie Chien Chow Chine. You might know him as Gaston/ Gucio/ Noni/ Banù - depending on the country you live in.
The unicorn has a magic mane that changes color based on feelings. When the unicorn is feeling well, his mane is like a rainbow. When he is afraid his mane turns green, when he is sad, mane turns blue, when he is angry, mane turns red and so on. In this way children can relate to those feelings and learn to cope. It is a great therapeutic doll.
This pattern will teach you how to crochet the unicorn with changeable mane and tail.
Pattern is available in English and it is written in US crochet terminology.
Skill level: intermediate. You need to know how to make a magic adjustable ring, single crochet, slip stitch, loop stitch, 2DCTOG (2 double crochet together), BLO (back loop crochet), increase and decrease.
If you use the same yarn and materials, finished item measures about 20 cm (8 inches) in height.
Pattern includes detailed pictures and instructions. If you have any problems following the pattern, please feel free to contact me.
