The LGBT issue is important to me; it’s important to treat all people with dignity and love. So i’m pricing this mitt pattern low to enable everyone to show their pride, their support of friends and family, or just plain ol’ love of rainbows!

These fingerless mitts can be worked with the rainbow starting at the wrist end or the finger end. It is sized for women, but if you have a larger hand or a man’s hand, use size US 6/4mm dpns and light worsted weight for a larger size. The proportions will still be fine.

These mitts work up fast and fit nicely. It’s a great basic pattern with no picked up stitches nor short rows; just straightforward basic rib and stockinette/stocking stitch. You will need to know how to knit in the round.

The pattern uses 7 colors of dk weight - a great way to use up scraps of dk. You’ll need, black, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple.

Just for fun, I included a photo of the mitts on my almost 13 year old granddaughter holding a velociraptor….’cause who doesn’t like velociraptors!

NOTE: I love Cascade yarns, especially their 220 Superwash Sport. This yarn works as a dk, not a sport weight. I’ve owned 2yarn shops and worked in two other yarn shops and we sold it as a dk. It’s lofty, soft and comes in a wonderful color palette. So, if you substitute another yarn, make sure it is dk weight!!
