This shawl is a triangular version of my most popular shawl pattern Glacier Ice Shawl
This is an asymmetrical triangular shawl knitted on a bias with an applied edging. First you work the body in stripes with increases at one side of the shawl. Then you work the lace edging side-to-side and join it to the body at the same time.
It’s not one the easiest pattern for sure, since the lace stitch pattern is worked on both RS and WS rows. But it’s totally worth it! At the end you will have a gorgeous piece that you will wear with pleasure!

Yarn:
MC – Knit Picks Stroll Sock (Fingering, 75% fine superwash merino wool, 25% nylon, 231 yds/1.75 oz (210 m/50 g)), color White.
CC – Knit Picks Chroma Fingering (Fingering, 70% superwash wool, 30% nylon, 396 yds/3.5 oz (362 m/100 g)), color Groovy.

Yardage: MC – 422 yds (386 m).
CC – 257 yds (235 m).

Needles: 32-40’’ (80-100 cm) US 6 (4.0 mm) and US 5 (3.75 mm) circular needles.

Other notions: stitch markers (optional), tapestry needle for weaving in the ends, blocking pins, blocking wires (optional), blocking mats.

Gauge:
17 sts x 28 rows = 4 x 4’’ (10 x 10 cm) in Stockinette stitch with US 6 (4.0 mm) needles after blocking.
20 sts x 27 rows = 4 x 4’’ (10 x 10 cm) in the lace stitch pattern with US 5 (3.75 mm) needles after blocking.

Final measurements (after blocking): measurements are shown on schematics.

Knitting skills: basic knitting skills, working lace on both RS and WS, long-tail cast-on, backwards loop cast-on.

Construction: This is an asymmetrical triangular shawl knitted on a bias with an applied edging. First you work the body in stripes with increases at one side of the shawl. Then you work the lace edging side-to-side and join it to the body at the same time.
