This ‘knit look’ crochet pattern is a great stash buster! A fantastic way to use up different weights and colours of yarn, and crochet up a Hippie, Boho Festival Delight! Easy to make, and you can choose your own colour palette and preferred brand of yarn! A pattern for beginners and intermediate alike, which can be adjusted to whatever size and length you desire.

The Ruana/Poncho featured in this pattern was created from a stash of Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice that I had, which I had impulsively purchased in a wide spectrum of colours. It’s a medium weight yarn, 100 % acrylic and therefore easily washable. The yarn was beautifully soft to work with, and held its body and stitch shape really, very well. That’s important to note if you are making such a large, crochet garment. You don’t want it to be too bulky and heavy, nor do you want it to pull out of shape!

I also used a Double Knit Robin yarn, again from my stash, but the pattern works just as easily with just one weight of yarn.
