I am bag-obsessed!! I have bags of every shape and size and am ALWAYS excited to make more! This design came about because I am always in need of a bag for my work-in-progress and rarely leave home without my yarn! I wanted something fun, dense (I don’t want my hooks to fall through) and a wide base to accommodate at least a few larger skeins of yarn. This one fit the bill! Of course, being a tote, it can be used for anything, but it is my new favorite for my WIPs! :)

For this project, you will need:
• Yarn: Bernat Handicrafter Cotton (shown in White, Overcast, Hot Pink, Lemon Drop, Emerald, Mod Blue & Lavender)
This tote uses a combined total of approx. 300 yds

Note: You could use ANY yarn for this project - it may just make your tote bigger/smaller! Adjust your hook size according to the yarn you are using.

• Crochet Hook: 5.50mm
• Darning Needle (to weave in ends)

If you are somewhat intimidated by the star stitch, rest assured - you can do it!! I have created a couple of videos on how to start your stars, where to work them and a special joining technique that I use. I have also included instructions on how to make your bag larger/smaller so that you can modify it to suit your needs.

Finished tote size: 10-1/2” wide (when laying flat) x 9” tall (there are instructions on how to make your tote larger & smaller).

As always, you are free to sell and gift your finished product as much as you’d like, but please do not copy, rewrite, or resell my pattern.

Because this is a digital file, there will be no refunds given. BUT I am more than happy to help you succeed with this pattern, so please contact me if you run into trouble! :)
