The Rainbow Throw is a warm blanket worked on a circular needle from centre out in one piece and can be made as a lap blanket or a full size blanket. The grid pattern which ends in a row of hearts on all sides is created by loop stitches. The loop stitches makes it resemble an old fashioned rug and makes the blanket really warm.

The sample is worked in the colours of the rainbow with a neutral border, but it could also be worked in one colour and instead have more of the embroidered motifs in a contrast colour.

Yarn: 10 (30) balls of Ístex Létt-Lopi à 50 g (sample uses 2 turquoise, 2 sky blue, 1 purple, 2 pink, 1 red, 2 yellow), 2 (6) balls of Ístex Létt-Lopi in contrast colour for border (grey), 1 ball of Ístex Létt-Lopi in contrast colour for embroidery (dark purple)
Needles and notions: Double pointed needles and circular needle size 4 mm / US 6, 4 stitch markers
