Here in southern California we are finally drying out. After weeks of cold rainy days, the sun came out and it’s starting to feel like spring. The eyelet lace at the bottom of the shawl was inspired by those rainy days, while the bright colors remind me of the beautiful spring flowers that are blooming everywhere.

The Raindrop Shawl is an intermediate to advanced level shawl. Starting with a garter stitch tab, this shawl is worked in four sections, with spaced increases added throughout the sections to give the shawl its ruffled shape. This lightweight shawl is only 16” from top to bottom, making it the perfect shoulder warmer for spring weather.
