Since trout fishing season started this spring, my husband was by the river religiously every day. Most days he came home with fish which he will then smoke or grill. His hobby (or religion haha) was the inspiration to this sock design. The main cable motif in the front represents the wide river, and the secondary motif represents smaller streams of nearby creeks. This motif in the back of leg runs continuously and is part of the heel flap to depict how the water flows uninterrupted.

Ramapo Socks are worked from the cuff down starting with German twisted cast on, and ends at the toe grafted closed with Kitchener stitch.

Techniques Used
cables: 1/1 LC, 1/1 RC, 1/1 LPC, 1/1 RPC, 1/1 LPT, 1/1 RPT, 1/2/1 LPT
cast on: German twisted
bind off: Kitchener
decreases: k2tog, ssk
