Celebrate the joy of life and friendship by creating a blanket for the people you love and their newest addition.

This generously sized baby blanket is warm, lightweight, and versatile. Its so generously sized that an adult can use it too!

Crocheted in an easy-to-follow, easy-to-memorize pattern using Single and Double Crochet. This pattern is suitable for all skill levels, including beginners.

Size, Gauge, Yarn Weight
42” x 46” using DK weight with a gauge of 4 sts/in.

If you do not have DK weight yarn available to you and wish to use light worsted or worsted weight instead, you will need to go up in hook size.
Lt. Worsted with an I/5.5mm hook and 3.5 sts/in will yield a width of approximately 46” (length is dependent on the number of rows you work)
Worsted weight with a J/6mm hook and 3 sts/in gauge will yield a width of approximately 53” (length is dependent on the numbner of rows you work).

Materials Needed
yarn needle for weaving in ends. Crochet hook in an appropriate size for your yarn and gauge.

Yarn
1965-2000 yards of DK weight yarn for a finished project of 42” x 46”. Longer and/or wider blankets will require additional yardage.

I have not fully tested the pattern with lt. worsted/worsted weight yarn. I assume similar yardage requirements; I will update this information when it becomes available.
