The Randomize Cowl is a simple, striped cowl in stockinette stitch with contrasting vertical stripes applied after knitting which resemble a colorful plaid. It is the perfect project to use up those mini skeins, and play around with colors!

I added all my mini skeins to a large bag, gave it a good shake, and then pulled out a random one each time I was about to start a new color, randomizing the color sequence completely. This was so much fun and gave me the most unpredictable result! Of course you can also plan ahead and make your color order just the way you want to.

I used DK weight mini skeins, but it can just as easily be worked using fingering weight yarn held double.
Instructions for modifying the size are given in the pattern.

The pattern includes a photo tutorial for adding the vertical stripes.
