Oversize-Sweater with a zig-zag-pattern over the whole body and sleeves, created by alternating knit and purl stitches in sizes XS | S | M (L | XL | 2XL) 3XL | 4XL | 5XL.

Structure:
The sweater is knitted in four parts, from bottom to top and sewn together in the end: First, back and front part are worked back and forth in rows, then the sleeve. All parts start with a hem in 2x2 ribbed pattern and are then worked in a pattern of alternating knit and purl stitches. This pattern will create zig-zag- lines all over body and sleeves – the highlight of the design. For the body panels, there will be decreases to shape the shoulder section. For the front part, there are additional decreases to shape the round neck, while working the shoulder decreases. The sleeves are worked straight without any decreases or increases. After washing and blocking all parts, the shoulder seams are closed with the mattress stitch and a collar in 2x2 ribbed pattern is attached to the neckline. The sleeves are attached to the armholes and the side seams of body and sleeves are closed too.
The fit of the sweater is oversized with quite a lot of positive ease (up to 15 - 20 cm). That’s why the sweater is very comfortable to wear and easy to style. Because of the cropped length, the sweater is perfect for high waisted jeans or as a layering- piece over dresses and skirts.
The interesting zig-zag-pattern is easy to work, but creates a special design – emphasized by the boxy shape of the simple sweater.
