The Rarebit Pullover’s stranded color work yoke features motifs inspired by the weaving patterns on traditional Welsh Coverlets. This sweater is worked in the round from the bottom up. The body and sleeves are worked separately and joined at the underarm then the yoke is shaped with short rows. The stranded color work yoke is charted, all other instructions are written.

The yoke chart features the 4 natural wool shades of A Daughter of A Shepherd’s Ram Jam as contrast colors but will work just as well with 1, 2 or 3 contrast colors- plan to use a approximately 225 (250, 275, 300, 325, 350, 357, 400) yards of the contrast color(s) all together.

This garment is shown worn with approximately 6” of ease for a relaxed fit that works as well over jeans as it does layered over tunics and dresses. If you prefer a closer fit take care to consider the length of the body and sleeves and customize to suit your own taste. It may be necessary to purchase extra yarn in order to add length to the body.
