Rat Jockey
Materials Needed:
- 3mm (C) crochet hook
- 4mm (G) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Darning needle
- A stitch marker or a piece of yarn
- Polyester fiberfill
- Worsted weight acrylic yarn (also called medium weight or weight 4)
- Use any color for the fur of the rat.
- Light pink, for the feet, ears, and tail.
- Black, for the eyes.
- Brown, for the saddle.
- Blue, for the zombie’s pants.
- Cyan, for the zombie’s shirt.
- Green, for the zombie’s fur.
- Estimated yardage needed has not yet been calculated, but ONE skein (380 yds) of the rat colored yarns is MUCH MORE than plenty and will result in 4-6 finished rats.
Skills Needed (Skill Level: Intermediate):
- Knowledge of magic circle/magic ring is NOT required. The pieces are started with the chain-two method.
- Crocheting in the round
- Single crochet
- Increasing and decreasing with single crochet
- Back post single crochet
- Sewing pieces together
- Basic embroidery knowledge (for the face)
- Chaining and slip stitching within a round
- Color changing
