Raven Windowpanes… looking out onto the horizon. Commencing with an I-cord tab cast-on, it then works from a small point, increasing at the end of every right-side row, ending as a generous triangle with an I-cord cast-off. The slipstitch pattern works up quickly and is an easy repeat pattern for a comfortable, pleasant afternoon of knitting. The lovely rustic yarn, home grown in Mecthosin on Vancouver Island, which I purchased at the 100 Mile Fleece and Fibre event a year ago, adds generous texture to this shawl.
