Difficulty: Comfortable Beginner

Comfortable with chain bumps, rows and round changes, increasing and decreasing, and single crochet

Yarns I used:
BODY Lion Brand Basic Stitch (4) Medium in “Gold Heather” 3.5 oz
FEET Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice (4) Medium in “Black” 4 oz
BEAK Loops and Threads Impeccable (4) Medium in “Gold” 4.5 oz
SCARF Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice (4) Medium in “Colonial Blue” 4 oz

***** A NOTE ON YARNS*****

Almost all of the yarns I use in my stash have been given to me, so they vary widely. However I suggest the same weight, and if possible the same brand if you are buying new skeins, of at least 3.5 oz of each color. This ensures that each piece will match in size and shape as “medium weight” can vary from brand to brand.

Colors needed for pieces: body color, scarf color, beak and feet. You can use the colors I recommend for the eagle, or you can use all black for a raven, or a combination of black and gray.

Recommended Hook size: 3.25mm (used in pattern) or 3.5mm

Supplies:

Yarn

Yarn Needle

Fiber filling

Scissors

12mm safety eyes

Crochet hook

Scrap yarn or stitch markers

Some pieces are worked in the round and some worked flat. Each piece is noted before you begin.
