Ravenna is a top-down garment with options for short or long sleeves (with narrow and wider sleeve width options), in a cardigan or pullover style, with an all-over pointelle-style motif throughout. The back yoke is worked first, using increases to shape the shoulder lines. The back yoke is worked to desired armhole length and put on hold, then shoulder sts are picked up to work both right and left front panels with the designated charts.

Once the charts are finished, all panels are joined and worked together flat for the cardigan version or in the round for the pullover version. Once the body is the desired length and hem ribbing is worked, you will bind-off the body and begin picking up sts along the armholes, left/right front panels for the buttonbands (for cardigan version), and finally the collar. For the cardigan version, you will work buttonholes in the buttonband section, and once finished, you will sew on buttons for the finishing touch.
