These socks came to be when Kim from
Gingersnap sent me a picture of a yarn and bag combo called Tattoed Blossoms. I was excited to be asked to create a pattern in this sultry dark yarn called Ravish, which was inspired by the gorgeous fabric.

The lovely columns of twisted rib lead into the blossom motif and seem to jump off the stockinette background. This pattern is my favourite mix of design and stockinette that makes the socks fly off the needles.

Written and charted instructions are included with a video tutorial to show the simple lace stitch that makes up the blossom motif.

The pattern looks great on lots of different types of yarn…Give it a try! Check out my tester’s project pages for inspiration.

The sock comes in 3 sizes and is knit from the top down with a heel flap and traditional gusset. I finished it with my version of a rounded toe.

1 skein of fingering weight yarn.

Huge thanks to my test knitters Heather, Rochelle, Alexa, Jenn, Sue, Darlene and Sophie for their feedback and their beautiful socks.
