THIS PATTERN IS ONLY AVAILABLE AS PART OF A STITCH IN TIME VOLUME 3, THE COLOURWORK EDITION

Rawnsley is the first pattern released from A Stitch in Time Volume 3, The Colourwork Edition and was originally published in the 1940s in Needlework Illustrated, a periodical published by Weldons as a single size pattern to fit chest size 32-34 inch (81-86cm).

This elegant all-over colourwork sweater features a deep corrugated ribbed welt in a striking striped pattern, which is echoed on the cuffs and neckband. The sweater is knitted in the round throughout with armhole and neck steeks added. Armhole shaping is worked to produce an inset sleeve. Sleeve stitches are picked up around the armhole and then knitted downwards. To create an improved sleeve head shape, short rows are worked before the sleeve is worked. The shoulder stitches are grafted together to complete the seamless construction.

Rawnsley comes in 14 sizes to fit from 28-60 inch (71-152 cm) chest with full colour, full length charts to work from provided for each size.
