Rebellious scarf is a simple unisex scarf, with long asymmetric ends and defined ribbing texture. The scarf is worked flat from one end to another, starting with 2x2 ribbing and increases on one end, transitioning into seed stitch in the middle section and finishing with more ribbing and decreases on the other end.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

The pattern is written for one size with the finished measurements of 230 cm (90.5 in) in length and 32 cm (12.5 in) in width across the middle section after blocking.

YARN

  • ca. 255 g or 2.5 skeins of 100% wool from Donegal Wool Spinning Company with 200 m (218 yds) in 100 g, shown in colour 3750 Grey.

Or any other worsted/light aran weight yarn to match the gauge.

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS

  • a pair of 5.0 mm (US 8) circular needles with 40 cm (16 in) cable;
  • 4 mm (G-6) crochet hook or a tapestry needle to weave in the ends and bind off;
  • row counter and a cable needle (optional).

GAUGE

  • 20 sts and 20 rows in 10 cm (4 in) measured over seed stitch (k1, p1 in R1, k1, p1 in R2) after blocking on 5.0 mm (US 8) needles.

Adjust the needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
