Starting with a true Moebius cast on this cowl works out from the center in panels of seed stitch and simplified double knitting to create a mix of textures that highlight the wonderful softness and color of both Malabrigo Silky Merino and Silkpaca.

The written instructions spell out all of the techniques used in the pattern, including illustrated steps for the Moebius cast on.

Yarn usage is almost the entire skein of Silky Merino and about half the skein of Silkpaca. You hold the yarns together for a portion of the pattern and work them separately for some of the stripes.

All in all it is a whole lot of fun packed into a little package and the resulting cowl is dreamily soft against your neck. I chose to pair the colors Queguay and Abril, but the combinations in the Malabrigo palette are almost endless.
