This version of the Recluse Cardigan is worked up using two strands of Dream yarn, so you can choose to use all one color or mix and match for a beautiful two-tone effect.

Follow the pattern as it is written in Loopy Mango Knitting - except use size US17 (12mm) circular knitting needles and the following changes:

Knit with 2 strands of yarn held together

For neckband, pick up 110 sts for S/M and 114 for M/L.

Gauge for the Dream Recluse is: 8 stitches = 4 inches (10 cm); 11 rows = 4 inches (10 cm).

  • 10 (12) balls of Loopy Mango Dream Yarn 109 yds 100 m | 50 g 1.8 oz each, 100% merino wool
  • Size US 17 (12 mm) circular needles 32’’ (80 cm) in length

Note: For sleeves and cuffs you will need to use magic loop method when using size US 17 (12 mm) circular needles 32’’ (80 cm). To avoid magic loop for sleeves and cuffs you can use an additional size US 17 (12 mm) 20’’ (50 cm) circulars OR US 17 (12 mm) DPN’s.
