Make your own foot-long coral branch out of worsted weight yarn and a G-hook! A witty and cuddly display piece.

This pattern provides a stitch-by-stitch guide to making a coral branch nearly identical to the one shown here. But more importantly, I try to describe the purpose of each one of those stitches so that you can become comfortable freeforming coral of your own design.

The pattern is 4 pages long, and comes in pdf form with a labeled picture of the coral to make following the stitches easy. It’s written out in (almost!) complete sentences so that it’s easier to follow, with no deciphering of code. All you need to know to make this pattern is single crochet, increase, decrease, and chain.

It’s long, but very simple, and you can make this project in an evening if you are comfortable with crochet.
