This little reindeer is fast to make and doesn’t require much yarn - perfect for last minute gifts or stocking fillers, but it also looks great as an ornament on the Christmas tree.

Size
About 10 cm / 4” tall to the tip of its antlers, if made with DK yarn.

Tools and materials
~ DK (or worsted weight) yarn in beige, brown, red and optionally green
~ 3mm (approx. US size C) hook if using DK yarn; or size that gives you a tight, no-gaps fabric
~ black plastic eyes: 4mm or 5mm for DK yarn (4.5mm or 6mm for worsted weight)
~ fiberfill stuffing
~ stitch marker, pair of scissors, pair of tweezers, yarn needle
~ optionally: white glue, corrugated cardboard, plastic wrap, and a paintbrush (to stiffen the antlers)
~ optionally: 5 tiny golden bells for the collar

Difficulty
This pattern is suitable for intermediate level crocheters who are confident with basic stitches and frequently used amigurumi techniques (ch, sl st, sc, hdc, sc2tog, magic ring, invisible decrease).
Legs are joined to the body as you crochet, ears are made as part of the head and the neck is worked into skipped head stitches, so the only parts that need sewing are the neck to the body, and the antlers to the head.

The pattern is written in English using US crochet terminology (UK/Aus equivalents provided). It contains many in-progress photos, but also includes a text-only appendix for easy printing, if you prefer working from a printed pattern but want to save ink and paper.

Finished items made from this pattern are yours to keep or gift or sell, I only ask you to credit me as the designer in case you decide to sell them.
