Red tank top
This top is a simple, straightforward design. It is worked from the bottom up: once the body has been knitted in the round, the work is divided into front and back to continue separately.
The main feature is the lace stitch pattern – an understated openwork that requires particular care when shaping the armholes and neckline. As stitches are decreased, the lace must be adjusted round by round.
When you reach this stage, refer to the example provided in the pattern to see how to adapt the lace pattern more easily :)
The sample garment shown is a size M with a regular fit.
For this project, I recommend making two swatches: one in the lace pattern worked in the round and one in the lace pattern worked back and forth. Even when using the same stitch, the tension may vary depending on the method of knitting.
If you notice a difference, you can adjust your needle size – or even just one of the needle tips – depending on whether the variation appears on the right side or the wrong side.
