I love blankets and I have grown to love the idea of putting pictures in blankets as you go instead of having to do twice the work of surface cross stitching afterward!

Materials:
* 1 Skein of each Red, White, Blue, and Black
I/9 5.50mm Tunisian (or regular if working in sc or hdc) Hook
Scissors
Tapestry Needle

The materials you choose will have a direct bearing on what the size of your blanket will be, so if you use a smaller yarn, expect it to turn out smaller, if you use a larger yarn, expect it to come out larger. Same goes for hook size. I find worsted weight with an I/9 hook works well.

The directions to the pattern will be written as row counts, there no intricate pattern writing on how to manage color changes, so I recommend that you already know how to do it or plan to learn as you go from video tutorials.

This pattern can be worked in tunisian, single crochet, or HDC. I don’t recommend doing DC as it makes the picture look to stretched out and space-y, if that makes sense!

Recommended for people who have done tunisian or graphghan projects before. Not recommended for beginners.
