This fun little pattern is a great first garment for those learning fair isle. Knitted with green and red starts to make it a little Christmasy but other colours make it wearable throughout the year. The pattern its self is nice a simple split into two sections to get the continuing colours.

This is a pattern for medium female hands measuring just over 3 inches across the knuckles.

You’ll want to select 3 different colours from the Jamison & Smith 2ply jumper weight selection. The background colour works best with a Mix colour from their range, adds a bit more to it than just a block colour. The background colour will take the whole ball, if you knit a loose tension I would advise a second ball to make sure you have enough. The other two colours will take less than a whole ball.
