Description

The sweater is worked from the top down, seamlessly. Short rows are used to raise the back of the neck. The pattern for the yoke is worked from the Chart. Further raglan shaping before separating the sleeves improves the fit. The sleeve sts are put on hold while the body is finished and then returned to the needle. Instructions are included for a cropped or a longer length, but you can of course modify the length according to preference.

There are also options for cropped sleeve lengths or full-length sleeves.

Oh, and although this looks like reverse stockinette stitch, the whole thing is knitted inside out. This means that instead of lots of purling, you get to do lots of knitting. Yay! It also means that, although the cable stitches and decrease/increase symbols on the chart may look back to front, they ARE the right way round so please do not be tempted to correct them! It is simply because you are knitting them inside out. Full instructions for the cable stitches are given in the Special Techniques section.
