✨ THIS PATTERN UNLOCKS IN THE BRIANA K APP
Your purchase includes the printable PDF and the interactive version in the Briana K app. Check off every row, never lose your place, and plan your colors before you buy the yarn.
✿ Start it between big projects. Finish it before you notice.
This bookmark looks way more detailed than it is to make. The Reed Crossover Stitch creates a woven, crosshatch texture, and once you’re into the two-row repeat it flies.
At about 18 yards each, one skein makes a whole stack. Perfect for scraps, quick gifts, teacher presents or a batch in seasonal colors.

✨ What makes it work
- Easy two-row repeat. Worked flat from the bottom up.
- Fully reversible. Looks great on both sides.
- Make it any size. Add or remove rows, or change the starting chain in multiples of 3.
- Optional tassel. Turns a simple strip into something that looks intentional.
- You’re not on your own. Video tutorial and written pattern included.
✂️ What you’ll need
- Yarn: Farmhouse Cotton, Willow Yarns (100% cotton, 360 yds/100 g; labeled #3 but works up closer to a #1), 18 yds per bookmark or 22 yds with the tassel. Colors shown: Magnolia, Viridian and Dusty Rose
- Love a swap? Mandala String, Lion Brand · Comfy Fingering, WeCrochet
- Hook: 3.0mm. A C (2.75mm) or D (3.25mm) also works
- Tools: Cat Removable Stitch Markers · Yarn Needle · Scissors · Tape Measure
- Optional: Blocking Mat · Blocking Pins
