This fun, quick pattern came to life as I was set on finishing a blanket for my dear friend of 35 years. She recently had her 3rd beautiful girl. I had knit some adorable outfits already, but never finished the baby blanket I started in January. Well, it was the day before we were getting together and I needed something I could make quickly but I also wanted it to be special and unique for Baby Reese.

Using super bulky yarn, I found the texture I was looking for and on large needles, Reese’s blanket came to life fast.

When you knit your blanket, you may find you want to substitute other Super Bulky yarns and in doing so, may or may not need to hold your yarn double depending on the texture you are looking to achieve. Make a swatch or two to see what makes you happiest.

This pattern also incorporates a decorative and simple stitch - an elongated Daisy Stitch. I’ve included photo and video tutorial in the pattern.
