Wind ruffles the surface of a mountain stream as sunlight reflects bands of color through its depths. A trout hangs motionless in the depths, perfectly camouflaged.

This bottom-up, open vest design plays with the reflections of sunlight on a stream. Worked in fingering weight yarn, the vest has soft drape, good stitch definition and is the perfect weight for warmer weather. Stripes of varying widths of main and contrasting colors are combined with bands of texture. A narrow, flat collar with wider front bands are applied after the rest of the vest is finished.

Finished chest sizes include 35(38, 44, 48) 51, 56, 60inches/ 89(96.5, 112, 122) 129.5, 145, 150 cm. Please select a size that is 2-3 inches/ 5-7.5 cm larger than chest measurement at the underarm.

To help in choosing a size, measurements are given in the pattern for neck to shoulder, shoulder to underarm, underarm to hem, width of underarm, finished back, and front bands.

Gauge and yarn totals are listed for fingering weight yarn.
