This pattern was inspired by classic rugby shirts. But each of the 4 pieces used in this pattern are uniquely different, from bold wide stripes in two colors to one-row stripes in 6 colors. And there’s even an armband with a team crest inspired by the Cox Scottish family crest.

Reggie comes with James’ unique StitchSaverTM Row Checker, which helps you keep track of stitch count row-by-row and increase and decrease shaping. The front, back and sleeves are all worked from the bottom up then sewn together. The left sleeve also incorporates a little intarsia to create a “team crest” worked from a precise chart. Stitches for the button placket at the neck are picked up and worked with button holes. The finishing touch is the collar.

So…does this inspire you want to watch a little rugby on the telly?
