Reigate Mittens are textured handwarmers with a distinctive pattern and simple construction. The pattern is suitable for someone with little knitting experience as there is no thumb gusset. It is written in row detail as well as being available in chart format. This is a one size pattern which will fit the average women’s hand. A slightly smaller or larger sizing could easily be achieved using a different gauge yarn and/or needle size. The mittens are available in two lengths; a standard longer length and a shortie version. The fingerless mittens are knitted on circular needles using the magic loop method until the thumb split. Knitting back and forth is worked for the length of the thumb split and then knitting in the round resumes again.
