This is a cosy Winter headband featuring some lovely cables, a neat, slipped stitch edge and my favourite, some puffy bobbles!

The headband is knitted flat and joined at the seams by grafting the live stiches with the cast on edge.

You will have the option to knit the narrow headband (pictured) or a slightly wider headband, as indicated in the instructions.

If you are not into bobbles, you can simply omit knitting the bobble by following the optional instructions in the pattern.

Yarn

1 x ball (100gr) of Super Chunky Wool

You will need approximately 45 (50, 55, 60)gr, or 36 (40, 44, 48)m / 39 (43, 48, 52)yds, for sizes 1 (2, 3, 4)

Needles

US 10.5/ 6.5mm circular in 60cm, or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge

12st and 18 rows = 4”/10cm in stockinette stitch when blocked

This pattern is more about the length of your band than stitch gauge. If you can’t meet row gauge, just measure the length of your band as you knit and stop or continue working rows to reach the suggested finished measurements

1, 2, 3, 4 to fit head circumference measuring 19, 20, 21, 22” / 48, 51, 53.5, 56cm
