This hat and mitten set is seasonal and fun, perfect for winter. This is what I call my “ I can’t wait till Christmas “ hat, and will be adding a few to my family’s presents.

It is worked in continuous rounds. I would rate the difficulty level as advanced beginner/ intermediate. You will need to know how to in the front and back of posts for the ribbed effect on the mittens cuffs and the edge of the hat.
The Scandinavian style inspired motif is added to the finished crocheted items. I have added charts for the reindeer, tree and heart cross stitch designs.

This pattern covers 1 size only. It will fit teen/adults with a head circumference of around 23 in.

I used Stylecraft special DK (as I live in the UK), but any medium weight yarn can be used for this project. I used around 330 yards of the main color and 140 yards for the contrasting color.
You will also need a G/6 hook, stitch marker, scissors, yarn embroidery needle and measuring tape.
