This stocking uses short rows for shaping, and the reindeer has i-cord antlers and a pompom nose. This pattern is worked flat on single pointed needles (not in the round) to make it more accessible to knitters of all abilities. The hanging loop is a single crochet chain worked on a crochet hook, and the antlers are i-cord tubes worked on two DPNs.

Note this is a decorative item, and is not designed to be worn.

NEEDLES
A pair each of 4mm single pointed knitting needles and DPNs (US 6)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic.

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, a 4mm crochet hook, sew on wobbly eyes, and a 3cm red pompom nose.

SIZES
One size only - 21cm long (25cm including antlers).

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, decreases, and seaming to finish.
