You will need red, green and black yarn. You can use any yarn weight you prefer, with the recommended hook size for that yarn.

I used 100% acrylic DK yarn with a 3.5mm crochet hook.

I also used a lobster clasp so the finished piece can be attached to a buttonhole or handbag. I prefer this method as I don’t like making holes in my clothes.
